myLot Discussions on J.C. Penny Camcorder Batteries| Cool New JC Penny Breakfast Club Commercial!!! | | I love the movie The Breakfast club and recently JC Penny started showing one of thier new commercials for back to school. In it they recreate scenes from the eighties John Hughes film "The Breakfast Club" but it's taken in the present. It's a really cool commercal. Here's the link for a video of it on my Multiply site:http://richardssassykitty.multiply.com/video/item/91It got me thinking how it would be cool to remake this movie, something like in this commercial perhaps. What do you all think of this commercial and do you think a remake of the movie is a cool idea or would you rather they not mess with a good thing? | |
| | ...should I smile for my mugshot?? | | The day before yesterday my sister, brother, cousin, and I went to the mall. We split up and I was with my sister. The mall basically has two sides, the old and the new part. In the middle there is JC Penny. If you're in the new part and want to get to the old part, you basically go through JC Penny, vice versa. So we were on the foodcourt side (idk if it was the old or new part)and we wanted to go to the other side. We went through JC Penny's and I saw some cute purses that were%80 off and I tried some on. I decided I would come back later and look at them. So we passed through JCP and went to a store that was on the other side. After we were done we realized there were no other good stores, so we decided to go back to the foodcourt side. We passed through JC Penny and we were walking towards Payless which was past the foodcourt. I realized my load was a little heavy and I looked down and saw that I was holding one of the purses.[em]shocked[/em] I told my sister and I ran back to JCP and threw the bag onto one of the beds. I couldn't believe I carried throughout the mall. Thirty minutes later I decided to go back in JCP and I bought one of the cute bags but in a differnt... | |
| | scam! scam! scam! | | I received a letter in the mail the other day and the envelope did not have a return address on it, I opened it up only to find a cashiers check made out to me for $1895.00 . The letter with it said that i was randomly selected to be a reviewer. It stated that i had to make a 50 dollar purchse from jc penny and a 50 dollar purchase from wal mart and write a review about them. It said then I kept an amouint and needed to western union the other amount to some place. First of all I knew it sounded fishy when i had to western union a part of it...why would they send you all this extra money just to have to send it back, crazy huh. Im glad I didnt try and cash it i probably would be arrested for fraud or something. i dont knwo what would happen but I know it wouldnt be good....what a scam!!! | |
| | Where do you do most of your shopping? | | I prefer to shop in Walmart,Kmart,Target rather then in expensive department stores.I have and still will shop in department stores that don't charge an arm and a leg like,Sears and JC Penny's.We used to shop a lot at Montgomery Wards. But,they aren't here anymore.Besides not being able to afford stuff in those high priced department stores,I think there are better deals at Walmart.Even if I won the lottery,I might buy a few things at Macys, but still do most of my shopping at Walmart. What about you? | |
| | I got some new pajamas, finally. My old ones were atrocious! | | I am a very thrifty person and clothing isn't high on my list of important things. For the past couple of years I've been wearing an old pair of my son's lounging pants and one of his old t-shirts. Since he lives 1800 miles away, it was a comfort to have some of his clothes. They were so old that there were holes where the cloth had worn away!I got a gift card for Christmas so I went to JC Penny's and got some very nice leopard print sleeping pants. I couldn't find a pajama top that I liked so I went to Walmart and got a very pretty t-shirt. They don't match but I like them and they're comfortable. I used to prefer nightgowns and still have some but they aren't warm on a cold winter's night! What do you sleep in? Do you prefer pajamas or, if you're female do you prefer nightgowns? Or nothing at all? | |
| | Good News! (with a tiny grain of salt) | | So YAY, I got a job!! After five grueling months of searching for a job, I finally got hired! The position is awesome, pays $6k better than my last, and its in a field I love. HOWEVER!I just recently realized I got fat. You know how it sneaks up on you? Once I realized it, about three weeks ago, I started working out so that I can fit into my old work wardrobe. I'm getting results, but too slow! So in the meantime, I need to create a new work wardrobe on a VERY limited budget!I've been looking all over, I'm writing this here to see if anyone knows of any upcoming sales or clearances or anything? I live in PA, so I don't know if these are usually regional or national. I go the the local thrift store quite often, but the one by me has a TERRIBLE professional selection! To make matters worse, I don't really shop at all anyway, so I'm not really sure which stores have good deals. I know I got my interview outfit at JC Penny's, and a top at Target...Any help will be appreciated, once I get a few paychecks I will be fine. It's just a matter of getting like eight or so pieces I can mix and match until I make some money! | |
| | Save Yourself A Ton Of Money This Year With Your Camera | | If you have small children, and you drag them off to Walmart, or JC Penny every year for pictures, you could save yourself a ton of money. If you have a digital camera, dress your children up, and put them in a scenic spot, or other back drop and take the pictures yourself. We use Snapfish to develop our pictures, and we did 8x10's for the first time to see how they came out. They came out wonderful, and we will be taking our own pictures for Xmas gifts. We spend on average 250 dollars, for pictures every year at Walmart. By the time you get done with all the poses they insist you take, it costs a fortune. It cost me 40 dollars to use snapfish service, and the pictures were just as good if not better. | |
| | What stores does your closest mall have? | | The mall closest to me has stores such as Gap, Hot Topic, Pacific Sunwear, Abercrombie & Fitch, JC Penny, and several others. I'm just curious as to whether or not a lot of malls have the same stores, or does each state put different stores in the mall? I've only been to malls in 2 states, and they had pretty much the same stores, except one didn't have Pacific Sunwear. | |

| | Free Stuff | | A friend of mine introduced me to a site that is packed with free stuff. I've surfed many free stuff sites but I have to admit that this one takes the cake. I've spent most of the day looking at all of it and didn't even get done. Thanks to this site I probably won't have to buy cat/dog food for a few months.[em]thumbup[/em] I decided to join as a paying member because of what she told me. The cost is $9.95 a month but you can download the free toolbar and get 1 free item a day (todays item is a free can of Campbell's Select Harvest Soup).[em]wub[/em] I'm guessing that total I have close to $300 worth of items ranging from an $8 coupon at TGI Fridays, free 8 X 10 from JC Penny's (you can print as many of these as you want), to dog and cat food. Lots of other stuff that I won't bore you with lol. The site is unreal!!! I'm not going to post a link and risk this getting deleted...the link is in my profile.[em]wink[/em] | |
